How to Replace Couch Furniture Legs
  1. Stand behind the couch and tilt it towards you gently until the back of the couch is resting solidly against the floor. The front couch legs will now be accessible from the front for removal.
  2. Remove the front legs by grasping one leg at a time and and turning the leg counterclockwise. If the leg will not turn easily, try turning clockwise. Most furniture legs will unscrew when turned counterclockwise, but there are always exceptions.
  3. Screw the new front legs in by inserting the leg bolt into the hole left by the former legs. Turn the legs until you are unable to turn them more tightly. The top of the legs should be flush with the frame.Walk to the back of the couch and return the couch to its normal position. Then carefully tilt the couch forward so that the front part of the couch and the arm rests are resting against the floor. Now the back legs will be accessible for replacement.
  4. Unscrew the back legs as you did the front legs and replace with the new couch legs. Now you can set the couch back into its normal position
